As we look towards the end of the summer term, I wanted to let you know that school will be closed over the summer holidays to all children. With childcare providers up and running, we hope that our keyworkers will be able to make the most of local services and clubs on offer.
We have remained open for our keyworkers and vulnerable groups since 23rd March, opening during our half terms, Easter holidays and some Bank Holidays. So as you can imagine staff are looking forward to a well-earned rest.
In light of this, we will not be able to respond to Dojo messaging over the summer break. While we realise that this facility has been invaluable for many of our parents, especially for those who have not been eligible to attend school during this pandemic, our teachers need a break. Communications with parents would definitely interrupt their holiday! Any urgent messages can be sent in via our admin email which we will be checking weekly.
Over recent weeks our teachers have invested a lot of time into online training to support their planning for your child’s return to school and develop a new ‘Catch up Curriculum’. Our curriculum over the first term will focus on quickly assessing where your child is in their learning and providing learning opportunities to enable them to make progress.
Further details on our staggered starts and finishes will follow towards the end of next week following consultation with our whole school team.
In the meantime, wishing you all lovely weekend that can be shared with family and friends.
Yours sincerely and with best wishes,
Mrs Hannah Beckett
