School Uniform - a message from Mrs Nicholas-Bond, Interim Headteacher

Dear Parents

It has been lovely to be welcomed to Nightingale Primary School this term. Though only a couple of days into the term it has been a joy to see some fantastic learning in class, happy smiling faces and smart looking children.
I know that last term Mr. James wrote to you to remind you of the school uniform policy. It is with this in mind that I would like to reinforce the footwear rules. Children should be wearing either black school shoes or PLAIN BLACK trainers with dark soles and without logos or writing. If children are wearing incorrect footwear, we will ask you to replace the shoes with ones that follow the school policy and in the meantime a pair of plimsolls will be provided to wear in school instead. Children can of course wear other trainers over the lunchtime play if they are playing games should you wish them to protect their school shoes. I would like to thank you for your support in this matter as it is important that we encourage our children to uphold the school rules.
We have also reminded the children in assembly today that scooters and bikes should be walked from the gate and not be ridden on the paths or playgrounds. As we have so many people moving around it is important to keep everyone safe.
Thank you in advance for your support in helping to keep Nightingale Primary a great school. Please do stop to have a chat with me if you see me out and about – I am trying to get to know your children and it would be good to know you too.

Yours sincerely

Mrs. S Nicholas-Bond
