Creative Learning opportunities with The Point and the Berry Theatre

 

The Creative Learning Department at The Point and The Berry Theatres have been working hard to produce some fantastic learning opportunities for your children to get involved with.  These projects have been designed to support physical and mental wellbeing, encourage learning new skills and connecting the Eastleigh Borough community at this challenging time.

 

Their current opportunities are as follows:

 

Children in Eastleigh Borough Schools can now gain a qualification withArts Award Discover At Home

The Point and The Berry Theatres have trained Arts Award advisors who deliver Arts Award programmes throughout the year.  Due to the current circumstances, they have created a fantastic online resource so that your children can do anArts Award Discoverqualification at home during this time. Resources include aWhat’s it all about Guideto advise what is required in each section as well asPrintable Activity Sheets and aMobile Only Guidefor those who don’t have access to a printer!

Young people can also take part in ourWonderful Window Challenge

In a world where the window has become a platform for creativity and togetherness, The Point and The Berry Theatres are encouraging the young people in the Borough to take part in their weekly window challenge!  This week’s creative activity is all about Kitchen Characters and more information about how to take part can be found here https://www.thepointeastleigh.co.uk/whats-on/spring-2020/the-wonderful-window-challenge/

 

Connecting the Borough with ourTell Us A Storyproject

Created especially to connect those in our community, The Point and The Berry Theatres have asked young people in local schools and colleges to ‘Tell Us a Story’that they will include in essential food packages for the most vulnerable and isolated people in the Borough.  They are off to a flying start and have had some wonderful submissions already so please encourage your children to keep them coming.
