I am delighted to be able to share with you the outcomes from the OFSTED school inspection which was carried out on the 25th and 26th September 2018. The school was judged to be good in all areas. An outcome we are all very proud of.
The inspection was a positive process, and one in which the support of the whole school community was recognised and praised.
The inspecting team saw a true reflection of every day provision within the school. Nightingale is not perfect and we do not always get every decision right, but as a school team we are driven to secure the best outcomes for your children, just as you are as parents. This is something that is clearly reflected in the report.
A common thread running throughout the report is that teachers and staff know your children well, and have built strong relationships with them, allowing high expectations to be set for them. It was also pleasing to see that the inspecting team were able to recognise how new systems put in place have had a ‘positive impact on school improvement.’
Running an effective school is a real team effort and I am so pleased that the report reflects the impact that all staff across the school have on the children and the wider school community. This community includes the school governors, whose positive support of the school’s continuing improvement journey is also reflected in the report.
A note on the report from Kevin Coen, Chair of Nightingale Governors:
“On behalf of the Board of Governors for Nightingale School, I want to pass on a massive well done to each and every adult and child, that has helped achieve this fantastic OFSTED report. It is a well-earned testament to the hard work and commitment that happens every day in our school and is something, as a school community, we should all feel proud of.”
