Brecon Beacons October 2017

The Nightingale party all arrived safely at their destination in the Brecon mountains, even if the coach journey took a little longer than expected due to the driver taking a wrong turn! On arrival the weather and the scenery were truely spectacular.

Day 2 and the real fun starts here ... After a goodnight's sleep (everyone was apparently asleep by 10:15pm) the children were ready to face the day's adventures with some children hiking up Pen y Fan, a mountain in the Brecon Beacons that is a tenth the height of mount Everest! In perfect weather conditions the groups made it to the top, after taking in several breaks for snacks on the way to the top, of course!!
